How it works

Carboxymethylcellulose interacts with human corneal epithelial cells to facilitate corneal epithelial wound healing and attenuate eye irritation in a dose-dependent manner .

Usage And Safety

Dosage

The usual dose : The usual dose is 1 or 2 drops in your eye (s) as often as you require to relieve the irritation. Children : Not recommended . OR As directed by your physician.

Tell your doctor or pharmacist if you are taking or have recently taken any other medicines, including medicines obtained without a prescription.

Indication

It is used to treat symptomatic relief of burning , irritation and discomfort of the eyes due to dryness or exposure to wind or sun .

When not to Use

Do not use If you are allergic to Carboxy Methylcellulose Sodium or any of the other ingredients .

Precautions

Precaution

If you use more than you should do not worry as it will not cause you any harm. If necessary it can be washed out of your eye with warm water. Do not put in any more drops until it is time for your next regular dose.

Warnings

Warning 1

If you experience eye pain, headaches, changes in vision, persistent redness or irritation of  your eyes, or if your condition worsens or does not improve within 3 days, stop using this medication and consult a doctor.

Warning 2

You may experience blurred vision after using this medication. Do not drive or use any  machines unless your vision is clear.

Warning 3

Do not use the drops while wearing contact lenses. Wait at least 15 minutes after use before  putting your lenses back in. There is a preservative in this drops (benzalkonium chloride) that can cause eye irritation and is also know to discolour soft contact lenses.
